Pastor's Report 2014

March 29, 2015

I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. 2 John: 4

Praise God for another fruitful year in the Lord.  The blessings of church growth, spiritually and numerically, continued throughout last year.  It has been our desire to please our Savior as we walk in this present evil world and endeavor to accurately represent the Faith.  Humility and being “real” were our constant themes in the messages.  What a joy it was for me to know that all of you understand the difference between religion and true Biblical spirituality.

My focus for 2014 was on discipleship as I met regularly with different folks to lead them to Christ and ground them in the basic truths of the Scripture.  I believe that this will further strengthen our church family for the future.

Our work in the community continued to prosper as I was able to apply for tax exempt status for the Advocates for Grafton County Mental Health Court, a non profit group that supports the participants of Halls of Hope, as well as the other related alternative sentencing programs for Grafton County.

It was a blessing to have our old friend, Preacher Dan up for Easter Services at the end of March.  Another old friend, Don Davis, preached our Missions Revival in November and inspired the church to commit forty thousand dollars to our missions program through “Faith Promise” missions giving. Amen!

Our Brother in Christ, John Liquie, declined physically and went to be with the Lord.  I had the privilege of preaching his funeral on April 3rd.

We had four candidates for baptism on September 7,  followed by our usual excellent fellowship.  The Children’s ministry continues to be a thriving catalyst for our church.  The Christmas Program this year was the wildest ever! (Guess you had to be there.)
