Pastor's Report 2011
March 25, 2012
Once again the Lord has blessed our congregation! 2011 continued to shew God's increase to our ministry. Our growth included more visitors, new folks added to our church family, souls saved, membership, baptism, giving, and believe it or not, our army of little children just keeps multiplying. Someone must be Praying!
Our ministries at Hanover Terrace and Westboro House are such a blessing. I thank the Lord for those of you who support these seasoned souls by helping and praying. We have had some Spirit filled services at both of these facilities. In August we added a Men's Prayer & Fellowship night on the first Tuesday evening of each month. The men have enjoyed the fellowship as well as praying together. The food has been pretty good too.
Bro. Don Davis did his best to burden our hearts for missions during our November Missions Revival. Missions giving has been up, and we look forward to meeting our obligations as well as considering new Missionaries in the near future. Mrs. Klungler started a Missionary Highlights page on our website to keep us updated so that we may pray effectively for our friends in the field.
Owning our own building has been such a blessing. We have hired Kish Consulting to manage our building project for a handicap chairlift and to construct a new main entrance and foyer on the lower level. We are presently waiting for a chairlift device to be approved by the state. We had two new furnaces installed for our upstairs auditorium. They should keep us warm for years to come; they were fitted to make air conditioning easier to add on. You will have to pray about the "keeping cool" part.
We had some exciting events in 2011. February 4th was our Italian Night. I personally made sure that the cuisine was authentic and provided the Italian music that some of you found annoying. :) It was a fun evening and broke up the monotony of Winter. The Baptism on September 11 was a tremendous blessing. We had 12 people follow the Lord in Believer's Baptism. It was a glorious day to christen our new grill. Farm Day at Lorraine's was also a great time of fellowship. The sun was shinning, the food was great, and it was good to have Bro. Joe Poissant preach to us again. I thought that the Children's Christmas Program was the best ever. God has truly blessed our church with a multitude of precious souls.
With so many people attending our services, I had the busiest year ever. I realized that I would have to be healthier in order to keep up with ministering to everyone. After undergoing surgery at the end of the Summer, I was able to concentrate on losing weight and getting healthier. Special thanks to my Brother, Wayne Burwell.
Thank you all once again for your faithful Service, Love and Prayers. Let's keep things rolling for next year. God Bless You and many thanks.
Sincerely, In Christ,
Pastor Joe Scearbo
